John Ecton received his Juris Doctorate from the University of Tulsa College of Law in 1992. He began his legal career in Columbia, South Carolina the same year. John received a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from the University of Oklahoma in 1989.

John is a Member of the South Carolina Bar, and admitted to practice before all the Courts in South Carolina and the United States Tax Court.

Margaret “Laurin” Dukes

Laurin Dukes received her Juris Doctorate from the Charleston School of Law in 2013. She began her legal career in Columbia, South Carolina the same year. Laurin received a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with a minor in Business Associations from the University of South Carolina in 2010.

While in Charleston, Laurin was an active member of both the community and her law school. She served as a member of both the Student Bar Association and the Women in Law Board and volunteered with the Charleston County Guardian ad Litem program.

Alexander (Alex) Lall is a tax controversy attorney with more than 20 years of experience in the field. As a licensed attorney (Illinois 1998) and an enrolled agent (2017), he enjoys the process of bringing order and resolution to what often starts as an overwhelming process for clients. He has yet to meet a tax problem he won’t tackle head on, and is energized when clients bring new and challenging issues.

Alex was born in the Bahamas and grew up in Illinois. He attended Creighton University in Omaha Nebraska where he received his Bachelor of Science Business Administration degree in Marketing.

Craig Balch graduated from Irmo High School and attended Erskine College. He received his Bachelor of Arts from Southern Wesleyan University in 2001, after interrupting his post-secondary education with an enlistment in the US Army, where he was stationed in South Korea and Fort Carson, Colorado.

Craig earned the designation of Enrolled Agent in 2015 and is an active member of the National Association of Enrolled Agents. He has served as President of the South Carolina Society of Enrolled Agents since 2019.

Pamela Rogers Teague

Pamela Rogers Teague began her career in income tax preparation in 2016 and followed that path to become an Enrolled Agent. She completed her Associates Degree in Business Administration in 2019. In 2024 Pamela made the decision to expand her income tax career to include tax resolution.

Pamela has attended the ASTPS seminar to learn more advanced skills on helping taxpayers resolve their problems. She enjoys helping clients get their tax problems solved and move forward in their life.

Office Manager

Julie moved to the Chapin, SC in 2019 and has worked for Ecton Law Firm, PA ever since. As a retired Navy Submarine wife, she has traveled to various naval duty stations around the US supporting her husband of 22 years. In 2017, she served as a volunteer Ombudsman for the USS Wyoming.

Julie is currently handling the Client Billing for both office locations of Ecton Law Firm, PA. As a Legal Assistant, she also assists the Attorneys and Enrolled Agents in day-to-day
